Great as a base for a Safari in Yala. Nice pool. Staff made us a lovely take away breakfast for us to take at 4.30 am.

Charged for water in room. Only discovered at checkout. Towels are all worn out both in rooms and by pool. Breakfast in restaurant cold.

the location is good,neer tissa lake and the pool is also clean.

the air conditioner is little bit noisy.

Really dated rooms, and not very clean - lots of dust hanging from lampshades, rusty bathroom pipes and smelly shower

Staff are friendly and helped organise our safari tour and provided a packed breakfast for the road. Nice location overlooking Tissa Lake. Buffet for breakfast and evening meal was very tasty.

The hotel is a little dated but it looked like there was renovations in progress.

right next to the lake beautiful sunset sitting on the swing(you can swing from the edge in to the lake) in the garden,or sit aside the swimming pool (nice and clean) nice design of the public garden. room size , bathroom are all good. facilities are fine despite some of the AC are too old need to be replaced. nice buffet for lunch and dinner , price is reasonable. I don't know about breakfast , since we left at 5:30 to yala park , and the hotel prepared breakfast for us to take away which is very thoughtful , and they did it on time . in our experience meal on time is a very rare quality in this country . overall after our stay in this ekho hotel , I think if u are in Siri Lanka any ekho hotel could be your opinion . it's a chain hotel . few cities have it. worth try it out . careful about the little bugs (fly ants from the lake I think )that will trace the light and get in your room. when you open ur door close it right way. otherwise you will have fly ants all over your wall , lights , even bed. but the hotel changed room for us after it happened .

The male staff at the reception was very rude. He doesnt know how to talk their guest politly. And has a big ego. But all the others are ok. Specially the gent and the lady in the dining area. And please clean your swimming pools. Very dirty.

I like that it was directly at the lake. The restaurant staff is very friendly.

The pool was not clean at all, the water was green. And unfortunately the bathroom was not very clean. The window between bed and bathroom was super dirty. I expect more from a 4 star hotel.

About Breakfast string hoppers and milk rice not good and specially string hoppers not cooked properly and milk rice also not good rice to cook and not even coconut milk taste .i hope you can improve those things quickly . other things ok

The beds were so comfortable clean linen and smelt fresh with the aircon on already when we arrived. The packed breakfast for our Safari tour was big and full of healthy yummy food that I shared with Dinesh the tour guid website Mowgli Safari . Amazing respectful man.

The pool requires a SHADE SAIL so the water stays fresh and cooler

Shower a little lower so that water does not splash over the stall and wet the bathroom floor.

We booked clearly a DOUBLE bed room : we got a twin beds room ! :)

Location of the hotel is great, in front of the lake with amazing sunsets. The overall feel of the hotel is very resort like. The room was great, big size, great bathroom. They provide (not free) with a snack/lunch box if you are going to the safari which was very handy.

The room didn’t have a balcony even though it’s advertised as such, in reality its a glass sliding door that opens fully but allows mosquitos to go inside the room so we never opened it. The price can be a bit too much. Breakfast was very basic, not so much variety and things didn’t look of the best quality Like everywhere else in Sri Lanka service at the restaurant was not particularly fast

inexperience lady at the omlet station in the morning. I have waited more than 15 minutes and later Stuart guy brought a one. She do not know how to handle. Foods aare also not as expected quality was it before.

Environment

Swimming pool wasn't clean and dead insects were floating. Head of staffs were not flexible. They have no respect to people who come through booking.com

Stylish communal areas, bar, restaurant and swimming pool with fantastic views over the lake. Great food in the restaurant, and a good packed breakfast was provided for our early morning safari.
